If you do not want to see a return to the pre-Daly Inquiry era when an extreme Pro-Development faction dominated Council for seven years,      please consider the groups listed below when casting your vote on Saturday

Group E         Barry Longland

Group H         Dot Holdom

Group d         The Greens

Independent   James McKenzie

If you choose one of the above, strictly follow the How to Vote card for that candidate. Do NOT just vote 1.  Continue your Preferences above the line  Do NOT Preference any other candidate.  Vote only Above the line.

A number of the so-called “Independent” candidates will direct their preferences to Pro-Development candidates, a point you may wish to consider before voting.

Candidates Warren Polglase and Phil Youngblut were both members of the majority pro-development faction which dominated Council in the years before the Daly Inquiry. Warren Polglase and Wes Allen were named in the Daly Inquiry report as being associated with the Tweed Directions group which financially supported pro-development candidates from a War Chest of almost three-quarters of a million dollars

Your informed vote could help save the Tweed from further over-development and prevent a return to the excesses of 1999 - 2005.
